Assessment Tomorrow manages international conferences and exhibitions primarily aimed at the world of learning and training and the increasing use of e-Assessment, e-learning and other applications of IT to training and education marketplace. This conference, held for the second time in Dublin in 2006 was project managed by the management team behind the highly successful Assessment Tomorrow Conferences in Dublin (2005), Kuala Lumpur (2005), Glasgow (2006), Hong Kong (2006) and the annual e-Assessment Question in London.

At Dublin 2006, an exciting line up of speakers lead a rewarding and stimulating day on the latest developments in the use of Information Technology and Information Communications Technology and how they impact assessment, the learner and the deliverer of the learning, with particular reference (but not exclusively) to Work Place learning and vocational qualifications.

Objectives of the Conference were

    • Evaluate the ICT required by the business, training and education to measure and develop skills and knowledge and identify what technology can provide that is fit for purpose and cost effective
    • Raise the awareness of the importance of e-Assessment, in all its forms from electronic testing to
      e-portfolio management
    • Discuss the role and value of Psychometric Testing and other work place techniques and tools.
    • Bring together the strategists, policy makers, practitioners and key decision makers at one event for an exchange of ideas and to review lessons learnt and opportunities taken,
    • Provide a forum for developing the debate on the selection and use of e-Assessment and
    • Identify the role of e-Assessment within the development of effective e-learning programmes.
